In an effort to generate awareness among the Engineering student community about the technology and opportunities available in the Semiconductor Industry, i-cee technology organizes workshops onsite as well as in the premises of  the local Engineering Colleges. Due to lack of proper initiatives combined with the fact that there is virtually no presence of Semiconductor design companies in Kolkata, the student community in the eastern zone is unfortunately focused on a software job irrespective of their degree of specialization.

This we think is a very unhealthy trend; students must evaluate other career options at their disposal; while s/w remains an option, a career in the growing semiconductor industry could be a better and more satisfying alternative to the more descerning students.
